The RSPCA Preston and District Branch has launched a crowdfunder for a brand new animal ambulance after the old van used to move them is ‘prepared for retirement’.

#EveryoneForEveryAnimal fundraiser will assist cats and dogs within the native Preston space. As a part of this launch, RSPCA Preston goals to lift £25,000 for a brand new centre van to move their animals safely and reliably to routine appointments, life-saving surgical procedures and in emergencies.

The crowdfunder reads: “We are in determined want of a new centre van to behave as our animal ambulance. It is completely very important that we’re capable of transport our animals in life-threatening emergencies, in addition to taking them to vet appointments.

“We do not have a vet on website at our centre, and our RSPCA vet is in Salford, Greater Manchester, which is a protracted journey for lots of animals and could be very tense for them.

“Our present van was gifted to the department 12 years in the past, and is 17 years old. Betsy (lovingly named by the employees and volunteers) typically requires pricey journeys to the storage as she is displaying her age and prepared for retirement.” Tanya Barrett from Preston Branch added: “Our current van was gifted to the branch around 15 years ago and has done nearly 100,000 miles.

“We often have to pay for costly trips to the garage to maintain the van. It also doesn’t have heating or aircon which limits us as we can’t transport the animals in extreme weather as their welfare must come first.”

The RSPCA Preston Branch may even offer the next rewards for donations:

£10 = 10 per cent low cost at certainly one of their charity retailers or eBay store.

£20 = 20 per cent low cost at certainly one of their charity retailers or eBay store

£30 = Name one of many cats or dogs of their care.

£50 = Name a cat and a canine of their care.

£100 = Receive an unique behind the scenes tour of their kennels and cattery.
