RSPCA explain abuse of cats at Dorset female’s home

Patrick Bailey said “it was impossible” to get in parts of Lorraine George’s jumbled home where she required 29 Persian cats to live covered in faeces and fleas.

“The arrangement of food and water was insufficient and food bowls were filthy and empty, litter tray arrangement was insufficient and there was an absence of enrichment for all the cats.

“There was faecal staining all over the furniture, windowsill, bookshelves, bedside cabinets and faeces in the bed itself. The smell in this room was horrific.”

George declared a few of the cats were thin due to the fact that they had influenza and the court was outlined the offender’s imperfection. It was likewise said that she blamed the RSPCA for her scenario.

Sentencing judge Jonathan Fuller KC criticised George for “refusing to accept” any duty.

George was sentenced to 26 weeks in jail, suspended for 2 years, and prohibited from owning cats for ten years. She was likewise bought to pay £53,275.78 in legal expenses.
