National charity RSPCA have several loving dogs available for adoption. These pooches are looking for a forever home after coming into the care of the charity.
Some were abandoned and some were rescued but all of them will likely thrive when given love and made to feel like a part of the family.
Dogs are caring and loyal animals but might need some work initially as they have to house trained and socialised. Whether you have had a dog previously or not – you are likely to find a pooch that fits your level of experience.
You are also likely to find a pet that would match your lifestyle. For instance, if you are an active person a high-energy breed of dog is likely going to work best for you.
For others, who are less active, a dog that requires just a couple of walkies and few hours of exercise in a day would be ideal.
Here are seven among the dozens of dogs that are up for adoption at RSPCA Birmingham:
1. Chase
Chase loves to play with toys and with his bonded people and his athleticism is still surprising the team, considering his size! He knows lots of commands and is very responsive to his humans, good news for a dog of his size and strength. Chase has been friendly, excitable and playful around other dogs, particularly females – he certainly does have any eye for the ladies! Chase will need to be the only dog in the home as he will need time to settle in a calm environment, however, he could certainly spend time with well socialised dogs out on walks.(Photo – RSPCA Birmingham)
2. Luna
She likes to greet her human pals with a toy in her mouth and the waggiest tail you have ever seen – a sight to warm any heart! The charity is looking for a stable, adult only home for Luna with some experience of larger bull-breeds (although Luna is actually very petite for a Presa Canario X) and experience with nervey dogs who are happy to come and visit Luna a few times to build a bond with her before transitioning her into her new life.(Photo – RSPCA Birmingham)
3. Mischief
Dashingly handsome Mischief went to RSPCA after being abandoned in his home when his owner went to prison. He is a 2-year-old crossbreed. He could live with another suitable dog in the right home, providing good meets here at the centre. He could live in a family home where kids, if present, are of mid-teen age and older. 4. Monjour
Monjour is a lovely boy who needs teaching that it’s ok to be left alone for a short period. He loves human interaction and fuss, and will be a loyal companion. Monjour is always on the go so his new owner will need to be just as active as he is. He will need an adult only home with no other pets. He is a Jack Russell Terrier. (Photo – RSPCA Birmingham)
