The video footage reveals a group of passerbys holding Mr Camphor’s legs as he hangs upside-down trying to get the dog’s collar.
The group appearance elated as they lastly handle to raise the dog out of the canal and back to safety as the canine lastly climbed back to the pavement.
Mr Camphor informed Mail Online: “Everyone was panicking. I could not let that dog down and not help, so I put my jumper down and sprung into action – climbing up down initially.”
