Couple Jan and Aide Cappleman, who reside in Fressingham in Suffolk, were left in a panic after learning rescue dog Milly will bring to life 6 Jack Russells. 

After a demanding couple of months, 5 of the dogs have actually now been embraced, with ‘Billy’ the only puppy still waiting to discover a brand-new home.

Jan Cappleman, initially from Great Yarmouth, said: “My other half succumbed to Milly as quickly as he saw her and we embraced her as our family animal as we had actually lost our other dog prior to Christmas.

“She was so thin when we got her, we didn’t discover that the weight she was placing on was because of her pregnancy. After we understood, we could not get a veterinarian appointment for a week – and already it was far too late”.

Needing specialist help, they discovered Catherine Pinfold from K9 breeding options – based in Essex – who assisted them provide 2 puppies over the phone while en path to the couple’s home. After showing up, she provided the last 6 securely.

Jan and Aide then chose to employ the help of Norfolk-based Hallswood Animal Sanctuary to discover the ideal match for each dog.

Billy’s preferred activity is “playing” and he “enjoys to start this with his litter of mates” so is trying to find a home with a dog he can have fun with.

Lyz Hall, owner of Hallswood Animal Sanctuary, said: “When rescue puppies are brought into the world the chances of them discovering a safe home is stacked versus them, with the assistance of a charity the owners can be vetted and matched to each dog’s character”.
