After a fire broke out Thursday afternoon at a house north of downtown St. Paul, policeman left a single person and a dog prior to firemens showed up to discover a two-story house completely swallowed up in flames and threatening a surrounding structure.
10 fire business and more than 50 firemens combated the blaze in the 200 block of East Lawson Opportunity. Teams were on the scene for more than 3 hours, according to the St. Paul Fire Department. The structure partly collapsed.
Fire authorities stated winds gusting more than 30 miles per hour added to the fast spread of the fire, which was reported at 2:22 p.m.
Nobody was hurt. The reason for the fire stays under examination.
The Red Cross made short-term real estate plans for 8 individuals who were displaced.
