Standing nostril to snout in an workplace area in Midtown Anchorage, volunteer Trina Johnson towel-dried a Chihuahua combine named Josh shivering after a shower. The puppy was from a litter of 4 that had arrived from Nome.
Most Sundays between midday and three p.m., individuals attend canine adoption clinics at Alaskan Animal Rescue Friends (AARF) hoping to satisfy and undertake a four-legged addition to their household.
“We rescue primarily out of the rural areas of the state,” stated AARF director Beverly Ausick. “We fix, vaccinate and microchip everybody.”
