Pet Refuge appeal: Call to help charity shelter for ‘silent victims’ of family violence

Before Pet Refuge opened, a Women’s Refuge study discovered 53 percent of females selected to remain in violent houses due to the fact that there was no place for their family pets to go while they protected their own safety.
