An RSPCA investigation which was launched after a hedgehog was discovered tortured and severely maimed in North Norfolk has been closed.
The animal was discovered “screaming in ache” with its legs tied up, its spines reduce and sprayed with blue paint on the King’s Meadow property in Holt in July.
While discovered alive, it was later put down and a reward was supplied to uncover the offender of such a “barbaric” attack.
But regardless of the efforts of the RSPCA and the area people, its investigations have resulted in no definitive leads.
