SWANTON — Eighth-grader Samantha Sears made and delivered 46 pet care kits for households in want earlier this month.
The inventive neighborhood service mission was developed by Sears throughout Missisquoi Valley Union’s Youth Council, a Beyond the Bell program supported by Vermont Afterschool.

Sears’ mission captured the hearts of the oldsters at Vermont After School, and he or she was awarded almost $2,000 to make the pet care kits a actuality.
