Islanders are amongst those handling the Isle of Wight challenge this weekend – as much as 106km.
Raising money for charity, they triggered from Chale and will stroll a circular path, taking in Freshwater, Ryde, Newport and Bembridge, along the method.
Penny Langborne is walking for Mountbatten, in memory of her daddy, Dr John Smith.
She will handle the complete 65 mile path, informing the Isle of Wight County Press: “I am eagerly anticipating doing the Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge — however likewise fearing it. The Isle of Wight is such a lovely location, which is why I’ve chose to stroll it instead of run, so I can take it all in.”
