There are lots of dogs at Dogs Trust Manchester who are looking for a new home, including a Shih Tzu called Buster.

The 12-year-old is looking for a new home to spend his retirement years but the centre warns potential adopters not to be fooled by his age.

He enjoys going out on walks and sitting in the sunshine.

Buster is described as “friendly” as he likes to greet everyone but he also has a “sassy independent side”, only liking a fuss on his terms.

He is looking for a new home where there is more than one person and where he will only be left alone for minimal hours which can be built up once he’s settled. He is good at travelling in a car.

The Dogs Trust Manchester centre believes Buster could live with children who are aged 14 or over but he needs to be the only dog in the house and can’t live with cats.

How to apply to become Buster’s new family

If Buster sounds like the dog for you, here’s how you can adopt him – see his full profile here.

You’ll need to create an account on the Dogs Trust website, fill out an application form and choose the centre you’d like to rehome from.

You’ll be contacted within seven days and your application will remain open for three months while Dogs Trust tries to find the perfect match for you.

Once a match is found, you’ll be invited to meet them but if the dog is not right for you, Dogs Trust will continue to help you find your match.

When you’ve found the ideal dog for you, Dogs Trust will help you introduce them to your home.

You can find more information about each dog at Dogs Trust Evesham that needs a new home on their website and if you’d like to help the centre continue its work, donations are accepted through the support page.
