The Maryland SPCA will hold a 1969 Woodstock Festival-themed fundraising event to support rescue animals.
The 28th Annual Festival for the Animals will happen Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Padonia Park Club, situated at 12006 Jenifer Road in Cockeysville.
The not-for-profit is intending to raise $320,000 to offer veterinary care, meals, fosters and adoptions, and other requirements for the more than 2,400 animals that MD SPCA saves each year.
Donations will help cover expenses like $10 for an animal microchip, $100 for spaying/neutering treatments, and $750 to spend for food, shelter, medical treatment, and enrichment while an animal remains at the shelter.
“Every dollar raised counts,” said MD SPCA authorities in a press release, and all earnings from the Festival for the Animals will benefit the not-for-profit animal rescue.
People and animals of any ages are welcome to participate in the occasion.
