The animal charity was gotten in touch with by the bull’s owner after he fell under the drain on his field in Crook, on Tuesday (18 April).

RSPCA inspectors Rachael Hurst and Terri Ann Fannon got to the scene and quickly understood they would need support from the fire service to move the 15-year-old Dexter bull.

Ms Hurst said: “Lucky Lad had actually handled to fall under a drain ditch and was not able to get up.

“His owner was rather anxious as he began frothing at the mouth and his eyes were rolling back into his head.

Firefighters likewise highlighted the value of the collaboration, working together with the RSPCA duo to help the bull.
