Last opportunity to register for Wag Walk to help rescue animals in requirement

Bath Cats and Dogs Home is welcoming dog fans and walkers to participate in their thirteenth yearly Wag Walk occasion on Sunday 3rd September.

The Wag Walk is Bath’s most significant sponsored dog walk, with almost 90 dogs participating in 2015.

It intends to raise £8,000 for the care of undesirable cats and dogs at the animal rescue centre.

The occasion is supported by television veterinarian, Dr James Greenwood who will be participating in the occasion together with his rescue Labrador, Dolly.

Dr Greenwood said: “I am thrilled to be supporting the Wag Walk occasion in help of Bath Cats and Dogs Home this September together with my dog, Dolly.

“I have absolutely nothing however appreciation for the amazing animal well-being work offered by the Home as they do a terrific job of saving and taking care of cats and dogs, however likewise restore their health and behaviour to get them all set to be securely rehomed.

There are likewise rewards for leading Wag Walk fundraising events, consisting of a copy of Dr James Greenwood’s book ‘For The Love of Animals’ and the winner will have their book signed by Dr Greenwood at the occasion.

Registration expenses £15 per dog and £5 for extra dogs or walkers without a dog.

Richard Corp who embraced, Odey, a Jack Russell Cross from Bath Cats and Dogs Home 2 years back said: “I am a huge fan of the rescue centre, they do terrific work taking care of animals in requirement and I was impressed with their understanding and professionalism throughout Odey’s adoption in August 2021.

“The Wag Walk is a dazzling occasion, in 2015 Odey and I strolled with my partner, Suzanne, and this year our child’s family are joining us with their dog Tova.

“What’s most important is that the funds raised from the event are for an excellent cause, to provide care for rescue pets at the Home, so please dig deep if you can.”

Bath Cats and Dogs Home saves, fixes up and rehomes cats and dogs who are undesirable, disregarded, or maltreated, taking in animals from Bath and North-East Somerset and parts of Somerset and Wiltshire.

The charity requires to raise £2.1 million every year to continue its animal well-being work, both at the Home and in the regional neighborhood.
