A Portgower man has given a £2000 cheque to a canine charity in Caithness as a thankyou for all of the blissful years spent together with his rescue collie Daisy.

Jim Henderson adopted collie Daisy within the very early days of KWK9 forming round 13 years in the past. She turned up as a stray however was unclaimed after seven days and saved from being put to sleep by the Wick-based canine charity. The canine was put right into a foster home till she discovered her “furever home” with Jim.

Jim already had an older collie named Meg who had began to decelerate however when Daisy arrived it gave old Meg a brand new lease of life they usually shared one other few blissful years collectively.

A KWK9 spokesperson stated: “We wish to thank Mr James Henderson for his generosity in making a donation of £2000 to KWK9 Rescue. We are most grateful. This is a implausible cheque which is able to enhance our coffers and allow us to assist future dogs that come into our care.
