Heart of Minnesota Animal Center – Panther

Panther

Panther is a BIG handsome man that showed up to a HMAS volunteer’s farm. They had him neutered and treated him as one of their own farm cats. But Panther had a vendetta against the orange farm cats, causing problems in their cat colony. Because of his friendly nature towards people, they knew he deserved so much more.

Panther was welcomed to HMAS. A visit to our vet resulted in a positive FIV test. Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is a virus specific to felines that attacks and weakens the immune system. Don’t let that scare you though. Cats with FIV can live long and happy lives as indoor cats with regular, routine veterinary care. Panther promises to be the bestest, most cuddly boy if you decide to call him family. He’ll keep the kitchen floor free of all crumbs and keep your spot on the couch warm for you.

Panther should live in a home as an only cat or with other FIV+ cats (that aren’t orange ?). For more information on Panther, please contact the shelter by clicking here.

Ruff Start Dog & Cat Rescue –  Spiced

Spiced

Spiced is a cuddly, affectionate, sweetheart who will melt in your lap while she melts your heart. She’s a three year old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler/German Shepherd mix. Despite her long journey north from Texas, where she was found as a stray,

Spiced is enjoying her new life and is anxiously waiting a forever home and family who will return the love she gives. Spiced weighs just under 30 pounds, is super smart and trains very well. She knows her basic commands and is eager to please. She has a lot of energy and would fit in well with a family who enjoys walks during all seasons. For more information on Spiced and how to adopt, please click here.

Hawk Creek Animal Shelter – GB

GB

GB is a 4-year-old longhaired tuxedo wearing cat. He isn’t as confident as he looks in his kennel, it seems to be his safe space. He’s looking for a new place to call all his own. A nice, cozy cubby or cave might be just what he needs. Toys are weird, and he doesn’t seem to understand what to do with them. Cuddles and pets are all this boy wants. He does request attention and love with cute little squeaks. Give this boy time to build his confidence and watch his personality glow.

Midwest Animal Rescue & Services (MARS) – Snowflake

Snowflake

Snowflake’s family moved and left her behind. She spent a couple of months waiting for a new family in a rural Missouri shelter, but alas the days just kept going by. She joined the MARS community this past weekend just in time to make a holiday wish for a new family!

During her days at the shelter Snowflake put on a few extra pounds (who can’t relate this time of year) Fortunately her favorite activity is going for walks which she does wonderfully on leash.

She is a very quiet, relaxed girl who loves everyone, house trained and just a big cuddly girl. Snowflake would be a wonderful addition to just about any home. She gets along well with a variety of sizes and ages of other dogs. The sending shelter told us she was not cat friendly however we have not had an opportunity to see this ourselves.

Let’s make her holiday wish for his MARS Road Home come true! Click here today!

Tri-County Animal Shelter – Beep & Bop

Beep & Bop

Look at these lil’ besties!

Beep (left) and Bop are 4-month-old female gerbils. They’re BFFs, so send them home together. Gerbils are intelligent little creatures and can make wonderful pets. Gerbils need lots of room to burrow and hide in; a standard 20-gallon aquarium is an ideal cage size. A small, bite-sized amount of fresh vegetables and fruit is recommended 2-3 times a week; appropriate vegetables and fruits for gerbils include carrots, spinach, parsley, melons, berries, and apples.  Gerbils aren’t the only Small Animal Room residents; we also have bunnies, birds, guinea pigs, rats, and mice. There’s surely someone for everyone!

Underdog Pet Rescue of MN – Rodney

Rodney

Hi! I’m Rodney. Aren’t I the most beautiful boy?

My foster mom LOVES my unique silver/brown coloring. I was rescued from a shelter in Texas close to 9 months ago. Unfortunately, I came with some icky heartworms we had to take care of. At my first vet exam our vet friends noticed I had a funny walk and was missing some toes on my back feet. Upon further inspection it appeared as if my toes had been ripped off with pliers. While we will never know for sure, it is suspected I suffered some form of abuse. Don’t worry though because I LOVE humans. I can take just a bit to warm up but once I do, I am your guy.

To help me walk better my vet friends had these really cool leg braces made for me! They’re super fancy. I wear them all day and then take them off for bedtime! I would love a nice, chill forever home where I can relax and be someone’s best friend. I don’t do well with little dogs so I would need a canine companion my size or larger to play with. Do I sound like I could be your new best friend? See Rodney’s full bio and adult dog application on our website, please click here

Pet Haven of Minnesota – Fritz & Midnight

Fritz & Midnight

Fritz and Midnight are 8-year-old curious and shy buddies looking for their forever home together! Fritz (brown tabby) is the more active of the two. He loves to zoom around at night and play with his laser pointer. He prefers getting pet on the face and will show his appreciation by dragging his tooth on you and purring. He likes to watch tv and explore the house.

Midnight (black) is a bit more reserved than his companion Fritz. He is a bit standoff-ish until he realized that someone wants to give him all the pets then he will snuggle up into you. He is a pretty lazy cat.

Both of the cats are a bit hesitant to be in loud areas or in places with too much commotion. Fritz and Midnight both enjoy watching TV and getting pets. They love to use their scratching post and both of the boys typically sleep during the day and are typically active during the late night/early mornings. At night they love to hang out on the couch or check to see what the people are doing.

Their ideal home is with someone who is ok with having two shy kitties that take a little while to come out of their shell. They would do best in a quieter house but still with someone who can give them lots of attention and wants movie night buddies. They need someone who can help them with their weight loss journey to keep them in healthy shape. While they are shy, they are great guys once you get to know them.
