Green Bay Pet Expo go back to Resch for yearly occasion

Pet owners and their furry good friends alike won’t wish to miss out on the 16th yearly Green Bay Pet Expo, occurring May 12, 13 and 14 at the Resch Expo.
Senior Event Designer Amy Shadian said the exposition covers a bit of whatever associated to family pets — from discovering the ideal family pet for you to discovering how to finest take care of them and treating them with treats and toys.
“The Pet Expo is a gathering of rescues, vendors, educators and entertainment all focused on the pet industry,” she said. “There’s lots to learn, lots of shopping for pet accessories, [attendees can] search for a new family member and just have lots of fun!”
All are welcomed to see what the Pet Expo needs to use, however Shadian said those in presence must be gotten ready for the high probability of coming across animals throughout the day.
“The target audience is mostly animal lovers and families,” she said. “All are welcome, but since there are a lot of animals present, attendees would need to be comfortable with animals — especially dogs.”
Being comfy around animals is a must, Shadian said, since animals are welcome to accompany their owners and participate in on the enjoyable at the Pet Expo — a chance lots of other occasions, particularly indoor occasions, don’t use.
Pets are welcome to accompany and have a look at the Pet Expo without any main admission charge, however a $2 contribution is recommended and benefits the Brown County Sheriff’s Department K9 Unit.
All family pets in presence need to have a signed waiver and stay on a leash at all times.
“This is probably the largest event where pets are welcome inside,” she said. “Most of the attendees bring their pets so it’s super fun and family-friendly. It’s also great to be able to chat with the local rescues, search for your next family member, shop and just have a great time.”
Shadian said discovering the best addition to your family will be simpler at this year’s Pet Expo than ever prior to due to the increased variety of taking part rescue companies.
“We’ve really tried to make the event as family-friendly as possible,” she said. “We’ve expanded the number of rescues, even bringing in non-dog rescues too. It feels wonderful to support those amazing organizations over the years and watch that aspect of the show grow.”
If you’re not seeking to include a brand-new family pet to your family today, Shadian said there are lots of other elements to the Pet Expo to ignite your interest.
“We try to bring education and entertainment that families can get excited about,” she said. “This year we have a complimentary photo for each pet in attendance. We also have a handful of new rescues, including those that rescue small and/or aquatic animals. We’re also bringing back some event favorites, like the Brown County Officer K9 demonstrations, the Wisconsin Dock Dogs and the Dog Lovers Days lure course.”
The Pet Expo will be open Friday, May 12, from 3-8 p.m., Saturday, May 13, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.. and Sunday, May 14, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
On the home entertainment phase, the Brown County K9 Officer will carry out a presentation at 5 p.m. on Friday, 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. on Sunday; Animal Spirit Talker Lynn Schuster will offer a discussion at 6 p.m. on Friday, 3 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday; agents from the Madison Area Herpetological Society will offer a lesson on the essentials of reptile care at 7 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday; and a pet style program will happen at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Tickets are $9 for grownups, $8 for senior citizens over the age of 62 and military members and $5 for kids ages 6-12 if acquired ahead of time. All costs increase by $2 if acquired the day of the occasion. Children ages 6 and under get in totally free. Weekend passes are available for $14 if acquired ahead of time, or $16 if acquired the day of the occasion.
