AN investigation is taking place into whether or not numerous dogs have been victims of animal cruelty in Harlow.
YH understands that the animals have been eliminated on the weekend from a property within the Altham Grove space of Harlow.
A spokesperson for Harlow Council stated: “We have been made conscious of the circumstances relating to the dogs. The RSPCA have been knowledgeable and the dogs have been eliminated and are receiving pressing care.
“Any action taken against a tenant due to animal cruelty would be taken by RSPCA or agencies of that type, as this is not covered within our tenancy agreement”.
YH additionally requested the RSPCA whether or not they’re investigating a grievance of animal cruelty as detailed above.
A spokesperson for the RSPCA stated: “We are always so grateful to people who report suspected animal suffering to us and we would like to reassure people we will always look into and, where necessary, investigate any complaints made to us about animal welfare.
“We would urge anyone who has any first hand information to contact us on 0300 123 8018, quoting incident 01180407.”
