A DOG owner who lost an arm after her animal secured its jaws on it is taking legal action against the RSPCA for more than £200,000.
Police needed to Taser American bulldog Kiwi 3 times and damage it with truncheons to get it to launch Joanna Harris.
Joanna, 49, was so severely hurt that medical professionals might not save her left arm, which needed to be cut off.
She said the RSPCA stopped working to inform her that the dog had actually assaulted 2 ladies 8 months prior to it switched on her after biting her other dog, Bo.
Joanna, who was cultivating Kiwi with a view to adoption in September 2021, said she might not get rid of its grip and entered into her garden to ask a neighbour to call authorities.

Joanna, of Crowborough, East Sussex, declares the RSPCA was irresponsible in permitting her to foster a dog it understood was hazardous.
Her legal representative, Chani Dhaliwal, said: “Joanna’s dealt with an extremely hard time pertaining to terms with the physical and mental effect of the event.
“It changed her life forever.”
The RSPCA has actually rejected liability.
It said: “We assess the health and behavioural needs of animals before rehoming.”
The charity said it would take an animal back “if the new owner does not feel happy or safe”.
Joanna’s claim will be heard at London’s High Court.
