She’s got his number.
An animal rights activist went viral on TikTok after revealing her brand-new and uncommon tattoo — matching the one discovered on her animal’s ear.
Sam McGraw’s valuable rescue puppy Ted came marked with an identification number — a sad keepsake from his time in the dirty world of animal screening.
The dog fan shared she’d been pondering getting a tattoo to represent her animal rights advocacy and lastly picked Ted’s mark from a previous life.
“I spend like 99% of my day advocating against animal testing,” she said.
“I just feel like this tattoo just makes sense and it’s a great conversation starter to educate people who ask me what the heck my tattoo means.”
McGraw took her fans along as she went to the tattoo parlor.
“OK, so we’re going to go small and we have his number and we’re going to get it on my leg,” she explained.
McGraw then happily flaunts her brand-new ink, focusing for the huge reveal.
In her Instagram caption she explained that the irreversible mark is “a tribute to the animals suffering in testing and of course to [her] Ted for helping change the world.”
Tattooing or piercing an animal was made prohibited in New York in 2014, though some animal rights supporters support little, minimally intrusive markings to help with tracking.
McGraw kept in mind that the tattoo ink she picked for herself was vegan and not evaluated on animals.
The video rapidly went viral on TikTok, generating 5.2 million views, as individuals flooded the remarks with assistance for McGraw.
Several commenters shared that they have comparable matching tattoos with their rescue family pets.
