As part of the Kennel to Couch occasion, 106 cats, 10 kittens, 13 dogs, 2 puppies, 32 bunnies, 11 guinea pigs and one pigeon were embraced.
It follows capability at a few of Perth’s most significant animal rescue shelters is now so beyond breaking point some chose to drop their adoption costs.

“This included all available guinea pigs and rabbits, plus some long-termers, like dog Zelda, who had been waiting over 100 days for a home.
“Teaming up with SAFE Inc and Cat Haven was a great experience and it’s certainly something we’ll look at doing again in the future.”
Ms Smith said It was a fantastic sensation to see some empty kennels on Monday early morning, though there are no doubts they will fill quick with more animals in requirement.
“Animal shelters across Perth are flooded with unwanted animals, and unfortunately we’re seeing pets are waiting longer than usual to find a home,” she said.
“RSPCA WA, Cat Haven and SAFE Inc all want the same thing: to see our animals adopted into loving homes where they can be showered with love and warmth this winter.
“Winter is a particularly heartbreaking time to see animals waiting so long in the kennels.”
RSPCA WA’s Animal Care Centre in Malaga changed into a winter season wonderland last weekend with dogs and staff wearing their preferred pyjamas.
