A Grantham lady who has fostered canines for practically 20 years with a canine rescue charity has talked about how her coronary heart “lies with the golden oldies”.

Anne Lockwood, a volunteer with the Doris Banham Dog Rescue charity, at the moment fosters a 13-year-old German Shepherd known as Amber and adopted nine-year-old Shih Tzu/Yorkie cross Rene.

By her work with the canine rescue charity, she offers the older canines a house till it’s “their time,” stated Anne.

She added: “I simply love canines and that’s the reason I volunteer with the rescue charity.
