“Furbaby Social,” a free event benefiting Infinite Love Animal Rescue, will be held Saturday, April 20, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Torrance Marriott Redondo Beach, 3635 Fashion Way, Torrance.
The nonprofit rescue group, founded by Kandace Kuwahara, is partnering with Tito’s Homemade Vodka for a dog-friendly “Yappy Hour” in the Marriott’s outdoor courtyard that will feature live music as well as Tito’s doggy giveaways, obstacle course, and puppacinos.
There will also be merchandise, photo booth opportunities, games, a raffle, and a Paw Print Postcard workshop.
A specialty dog menu along with Tito’s Vodka signature cocktails and the Marriott’s full bar and food menu will be available for purchase.
Friendly dogs on leashes are encouraged to join the fun.
Self-parking is free.
This inaugural Furbaby Social joins the Furbaby Lovefest held each year to support the work of Infinite Love Animal Rescue, which has helped rescue hundreds of dogs and kittens from the streets, shelters and owner surrenders.
According to Kuwahara, the organization has also provided low-cost services such as vaccinations, microchipping and spay/neuters, free rabies vaccines and nail trims for over 500 animals at the Furbaby Lovefest events.
In addition, Infinite Love Animal Rescue has hosted multiple Pet Food Pantries, providing free dog food to those in need, and since 2019 has held blanket drives, collecting blankets and towels for shelter animals. Recognizing the importance of pet education for children, Kuwahara – a professional humane educator who has worked for spcaLA – has provided programs for over 200 students and youth group members, teaching “dog safety, pet responsibility, and kindness toward all animals.”
