Ottawa firemens saved a dog that wound up caught in a freezing Stittsville pond while attempting to go after some geese.
Emergency situation teams reacted to a call at the pond in the location of Fernbank Roadway and Shea Roadway simply after 2 p.m. Thursday.
Ottawa fire states a 911 caller reported a dog remained in the pond after it broke away from its owner, which the dog’s owner had actually entered into the water trying to save the dog.
