Dog-loving volunteer is taking over the Great North Run to assist deserted pets

A 20-year-old dog-lover from Lazonby is making ready to tackle the Great North Run tomorrow (tenth September) to boost money for Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest canine welfare charity.

Elliot Judge already dedicates many hours each week volunteering at Dogs Trust Cumbria which has helped greater than 350 dogs discover new without end households.

Although as a volunteer, Elliot has turned his hand to every part from walking the dogs and exercising them within the centre’s woodland and paddocks, to kennel cleansing and doing the laundry, he determined he needed to do much more and set his sights on collaborating within the well-known half-marathon.

Elliot, who works as a retailer assistant within the Co-op store in Lazonby, stated: “I’ve all the time liked dogs and have volunteered for Dogs Trust because the begin of the 12 months.

“I absolutely love it and to see how well the dogs are cared for is fantastic, but that’s only possible because of money raised by supporters. So, I decided as well as volunteering I’d set myself a challenge and chose the Great North Run.”
