Dundalk’s Mo Chara is blazing a trail and going far for itself as the most dog-friendly pub in the north east.
Not just does the popular pub welcome pooches at all times, however it now holds a regular monthly unique dog-friendly coffee early morning in help of Dundalk Dog Rescue.
The second of these occurred on Sunday April 30 and drew in a good presence of dogs and their owners, who valued the warm welcome and a menu of dog treats and puppichinos too the normal menu for people. There were likewise a variety of stalls offering dog treats, bandannas and other canine-associated jobs.
All follows tea and coffee sales were contributed to Dundalk Dog Rescue, who in 2015 opened their brand-new function developed kennels and rescue centre.
Bobby Wain, a creator of Dundalk Dog Rescue, said he was “delighted” with this effort by Mo Chara.
‘McAteers was the first dog-friendly cafe in town and it’s terrific that Mo Chara are blazing a trail in being a dog-friendly pub,” said Bobby, who just recently invited President Joe Biden to the Food House, which he with his partner Jerome McAteer,
“It’s the method forward and we had loads of volunteers and individuals linked to us who went to the coffee early morning on Sunday,” he continued.
“There are a lot of individuals who like to socialize with their dog, wanting to opt for a cup of coffee or a pint with their four-legged friend, so it’s terrific to see locations like Mo Chara doing this.”
He said Dundalk Dog Rescue were really grateful to Mo Chara for hosting the occasion as a fund-raiser as the charity, which was established in 2005, still requires money for its on-going operate in saving undesirable dogs.
“We needed to get a €300,000 home loan which we are attempting to minimize and there are the daily costs of running the centre, which like whatever else, have actually increased.”
