Animal-loving Liberal Democrat councillors are calling on meals charities within the metropolis to assist struggling pet homeowners.

They have proposed a movement at Full Council calling on native meals charities to offer animal meals in addition to human foor,.

In July MK Food Bank revealed that one in 25 households throughout town can’t afford to purchase sufficient meals, and each week round 50 extra individuals are contacting them for the very first time.

Last 12 months, Milton Keynes City Council gave £100,000 to assist native meals charities and in addition invested £110,000 in native psychological well being initiatives to assist town’s residents.
