A rescue kitten recorded as it prepared to catch its unwary brother or sister has actually been revealed as the winner of the Comedy Pet Photography Awards.

The photo of black and white felines Max and Alex was taken by expert wildlife professional photographer Michel Zoghzoghi.

“Max and Alex form a lethally adorable duo. I had more enjoyable and surprises taking pictures of these 2 characters, than throughout my most daring wildlife photography journeys,” he said.

Other winners consist of Boudicca the ferret on her very first outside walk, which was recorded by Darya Zelentsova, who is initially from Kyiv in Ukraine.

The dog then launched itself and flipped in mid air to face me and snap! As you can see the lady with her  hand on her head was as surprised as me and I think she is saying phew!

A possibility breeze of a dog jumping in front of shocked observers in a New York park took home the People’s Choice Award which is chosen by the public.

The photo – appropriately entitled Barking – was shot by Chris Porsz, an amateur street cameraman from the UK.

The competitors was produced by expert photographers Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam.
