Boldon Colliery’s Sunshine Nursery launched its official opening of the brand new child room which sees workers take care of below two-year-olds.

Based at Boldon Community Association, Lisa Leyden who took over as supervisor within the new 12 months needed to utilise new house within the centre which had change into vacant.

With Government plans to reinforce childcare for below two-year-olds Lisa knew this may be an ideal alternative to create a child room providing very important childcare to oldsters.

The nursery prides itself in being inclusive and cost efficient to oldsters and has launched the brand new room for infants aged six weeks to aged two to accommodate mother and father wants for childcare.

Funding has allowed the nursery to develop the infant room which contains a vary of sensory toys, messy play, high-quality motor expertise actions.

The new room opened in September and presently has 10 infants enrolled.

Earlier this month the room was formally opened by South Tyneside Deputy Mayor Margaret Peacock, with attendance from councillors Adam Ellison, Fay Cunningham and Alison Strike and Boldon Community Association supervisor Susan Topping.

They had been thrilled to see the brand new room and praised workers for his or her work creating the room.

Speaking of the brand new child room, Lisa mentioned: “The new child room helps present a chance to infants and makes an actual distinction to their improvement.

“Parents are actually proud of the brand new room and we’re already seeing the infants develop and work together with one another.

“I’m actually proud of how the room seems.”

Sunshine Nursery was praised earlier within the 12 months as Ofsted rated the ability as ‘Good’.

The nursery is home to rooms for older kids as much as age 4 when the go away for major faculty.
