Bear feels strongly that he could easily herd a group of farm animals. He does have strong cattle dog breed instincts and nips at small kids’ heels when they run. For this reason, Bear should not go to a home with kids younger than 10 years old. Maybe you have a farm full of sheep or cattle that would be motivated by a dog. We feel he would excel at agility or any canine sports, really. This kid is not short on brains or stamina! He also gets along well with other dogs. Right now, we do know that he is a very energetic dog and very smart. Within a few minutes he learned sit and wanted to show the behavior off to us throughout the day. Apply to add Bear to your family today! A portion of Bear’s adoption fee has been sponsored by his previous family.
Sweet Wade has been waiting for months and months in a TX shelter. He was lucky enough to make his way here. So far, we think he’s going to be a big cuddler and a loyal companion. He loves other dogs and has been good around children so far! Wade loves to join his humans for a car ride and is very excited while riding with his fosters. He does get really excited in the car so it’s best to get him a tether seatbelt so he can’t backseat drive. With some time and firm commands, he will learn that a human drives, and a dog rides. Wade is great at running. He loves to explore the yard, the fence, the neighbors, anything really. Despite being in a shelter for months on end, Wade is confident and loves to explore his home. After a good sniff-fest and perimeter check of the yard, Wade is content to take a nice nap with his foster parents. Wade can be a little shy when he first meets a person, but once he warms up, he is all lap cuddles and belly rubs. We know that Wade would do perfect in your home so apply to meet him today.
Sandy is new to us and after spending much of her life in a shelter she doesn’t really understand how to be a dog. She is most comfortable outside in the yard. Beyond that she is working to be more comfortable inside homes and out in the world on walks. Apply to meet this sweet girl and help her learn that the world isn’t a terrifying place.
Leo is a unique looking cat. He is shy & came in with his equally shy brother, Rocky. They are slowly coming around to us here. They enjoy a licky stick cat treat every day to help them overcome their fears. Leo perks up and gives cute little chirps when any other confident cat comes by his suite. It would really help him open up in a home with another cat that can be friendly to him and show him the ropes. He will need another cat in his forever home.
Rocky is a new addition to BDAR. He is shy & came in with his equally shy brother, Leo. They are slowly coming around to us here. They enjoy a licky stick cat treat every day to help them overcome their fears. Rocky’s cute little canine teeth stick out a little bit from his mouth. Rocky seems to do best with any other confident cat. He comes out of hiding when one comes by his suite. It would really help him open up in a home with another cat that can be friendly to him and show him the ropes. He will need another cat in his forever home.
Nala is new to us and what we mostly know is that she is a big girl. She will likely need some weight management from her future family. She’s a lovable cat and is always looking for some head scratches. She tolerates being groomed and will let you brush her for a while before she eventually walks away. Nala has all sorts of chatter to expose you to, she chirps when she first sees you and when she is happy. She meows when she wants your attention, and she will rub her head on any available to surface when she wants more pets. You can come meet Nala anytime during our business hours or apply online!
