In a wacky Facebook post, Reno firemens Association composed, “It’s a bird! It’s a plane! Nope, it’s a bear stuck in the tree. Reno Firefighters assigned to T3 & E12 assisted @nevadawildlife in the rescue/removal of a bear stuck in a tree in the south meadows area today.”

Several users sympathised with the bear and hoped it was safe. A user commented, “Poor guy he was probably so scared.” Another user composed, “He climbed up there, he’ll climb down.” A 3rd user composed, “Oh my. Something spooked him. Glad they got him down safely. Hope they find a safe place for him and he stays there.”
2news report said that after a fast evaluation, the 150-pound female was tagged, collared and carried in a truck and will be sent to the wild.
Mynews4 reported that the Nevada Department of Wildlife signaled the general public to bear-proof their houses as it is the season when bears begin to wander around looking for food in trash bin.
