Nov. 7– We hope everybody is as delighted as we have to do with the family pet calendar survey semifinals beginning Monday.
Twenty-six family pets advanced to the semifinals– and citizens will choose which of those 12 family pets will be included in an approaching family pet calendar by casting their votes Nov. 7-12.
The last round of ballot will be Nov. 14-18 to figure out which of the 12 finalists will be included on the cover of the family pet calendar.
Anybody can pay a 25-cent cost per vote in each of the last 2 rounds for the family pet they desire included in the family pet calendar.
Anybody can acquire any quantity of choose any of the family pets in the last round. Anybody can send their vote and payment at the News-Capital workplaces at 500 S. Main St. in McAlester or by mailing it in to P.O. Box 987, McAlester, OKAY 74502.

The News-Capital began the family pet calendar in 2015 as enjoyable method to assist the Pittsburg County Animal Shelter.
