Two pythons have been safely launched on the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve after they have been caught attempting to ingest a household pet and a goat — in two separate cases.
Speaking to IOL, Jac-Louis Horn of Critter Chronicles stated they have been known as to a home in Brits after which a neighbouring farm for the rescues.
According to The Komorant newspaper, a home helper rushed outdoors after listening to the household’s pitbull cross whining outdoors.
The lady discovered a python, later measured at 4.1 metres and weighing 30 kilograms, attempting to ingest the canine.
The household contacted native police who then reached out to Critter Chronicles.
Horn stated with the help of Andre Scholtz, they have been in a position to safely measure the snake earlier than releasing it on the nature reserve.

Meanwhile, in KwaZulu-Natal, a Mozambique spitting cobra was rescued from a home in Westville.
Snake catcher, Nick Evans, stated the snake was discovered amongst firewood beneath an outdoor fire.
“Unfortunately for this cobra, it’s plans of relaxing during the rain got turned upside down by us humans! I was pleased it was a quick and easy catch, but most pleased I didn’t get spat at,” Evans joked.
