The Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Road, Cumru Township, introduced that it’s launching its 2023 Home for the Holidays short-term foster program.
“A selection of available adoptable pets will be available for families to take home on Dec. 23 or Dec. 24 and return on Jan. 2, 2024,” the announcement mentioned. “After applying at https://berksarl.org/home-for-the-holidays/, families will be qualified by the Pet Placement Team and matched with a pet.”
Applications will likely be open Dec. 11 by way of Dec. 17.
“A shelter can be a very stressful environment for an animal, especially during this season,” mentioned Sierra Ortiz, ARL’s shopper companies supervisor in a press release launched Monday. “This program is a great opportunity for families that would like to help a pet but don’t have the time for a long-term commitment to do so, and it’s a lovely way to do something small yet so important for a shelter animal.”
All foster pets will include meals, directions on how to make sure an excellent foster expertise and the pet could be returned if it isn’t an excellent match.
