However, the odd weekend looming forward … Christmas … Yikes No! Yes! APAA’s pleasant pal Pet Park are, as we communicate, taking bookings.
They are nonetheless doing particular charges of stayovers while homeowners go on an in a single day or two jamboree. Believe it or not, Christmas bookings are being taken effectively upfront. PP’s recognition has grown with Gary and Wendy’s method to seasonal love-in for the animals of their care.
“We have doggy Christmas Day special,” Gary writes in his catch-up e mail. “Stocking filled treats and a lip-smacking dinner.” Can we come too? They have two everlasting workers serving to them out. Cracking!
In a roundabout method, a recent, very pleased ending for ‘Flow’, who was being handled reasonably badly by proprietor, and ‘Good fairy’d’ off by APAA to ARA’s shelter. After 10 days of restoration and love, she was re-homed. There you go!
Association for Protection of Animals Algarve has an extended listing of these they’ve helped out. Unsurprisingly, ‘Here to Help’ is their motto. “We used to be a shelter.” Jenny’s reminiscence of the old days lights up her face. “So, we know what it is all about. We are not backseat drivers. Now our aim is to advise, assist and cut down the number of feral cats. Re-homing abandoned animals.”
APAA has not too long ago been serving to Cadela Carlota, who’ve now bought the land for his or her present shelter; and ARA, Animal Rescue Algarve, with their pilot ‘Legacy for Pets’ and a sturdy industrial washer. “They help us with abandoned animals, as do Pet Park. We really are a huge network of helping hands!” stated Jenny.

Once upon a time, Alexey, ‘The Voice’, helped APAA out with their dinner occasion at O Tasco. He and his companion Leo have now opened their very own bar/restaurant in Portimão, Boys Bar. Yummy meals and, in case you are fortunate, a tune or two!
