Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are all still hunting huge signings with just two days to go now before the January transfer deadline. Arsenal are not giving up on Moises Caicedo and are believed to have seen a second bid for the Ecuador midfielder worth around £70million rejected by Brighton, who may have got a replacement in already.

Chelsea have re-opened talks over Enzo Fernandez as they also look to make a huge splash in midfield. While a deal is considered difficult after previous bad blood with Benfica, the Blues believe they can still sign Argentina’s World Cup winner before the market shuts for business at 11pm GMT on Tuesday night by offering more than his £105m release clause. Chelsea have also been interested in Everton’s Amadou Onana and Caicedo team-mate Alexis Mac Allister.

Tottenham’s swoop for Pedro Porro is in major doubt but they remain in talks to salvage a deal. Meanwhile, they have reportedly tabled a bid for Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie and Jude Bellingham’s younger brother Jobe. Spurs have also agreed a fee for young Chelsea striker Jude Soonsup-Bell. Follow all the latest transfer news, rumours, gossip and deals as they happen live below!

Arsenal still target Caicedo deal

Arsenal are considering an improved bid for Moises Caicedo as they try to sign a midfielder before Tuesday’s transfer deadline, writes Simon Collings.

The Gunners had a second offer worth £70million for Caicedo rejected by Brighton, who continue to insist that the Ecuador international is not for sale.

But Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi said yesterday that his team was “ready to go forward” without Caicedo and as of Monday morning Arsenal had not walked away from talks.

A fresh offer for Caicedo would likely exceed the club-record £72m they paid to sign winger Nicolas Pepe in 2019.

It just wouldn’t be the closing stages of a transfer window without Youri Tielemans being linked with a move away from Leicester.

The Foxes have only two days to sell the Belgian for a fee, yet there he remains.

Arsenal hold a long-standing interest in Tielemans and perhaps he could emerge as an alternative to Moises Caicedo, who Brighton want to keep.

According to the Daily Mail, Tielemans could still leave the King Power Stadium between now and Tuesday’s deadline.
