The award celebrates the optimistic impacts organizations have made regionally and nationally within the Canadian tourism business.
Jarom Scott, Director of Brand Development at Tourism Lethbridge mentioned, “Food is such an integral part of the visitor experience. Approximately one-third of a visitor’s spend is on food. As the Destination Management Organization in Lethbridge, we’re committed to cultivating rich relationships with those in the agri-food space and telling their stories to a broader audience.”
Scott added, “This award helps amplify our food message and highlight the work in this region regarding planting, producing, preparing, and presenting food. Our goal is that more Albertans, Canadians, and international travellers understand that Lethbridge is truly at the heart of Canada’s Premier Food Corridor and a destination offering a unique taste of place!”
