Taylor Swift simply wishes to remain in the “Lavender Haze,” and now she has an option in between the initial Midnights edition and the freshly launched remix with German DJ Felix Jaehn, whose remix of Omi’s “Cheerleader” track topped charts worldwide when launched in 2015.
The brand-new variation of “Lavender Haze” opens with glittering synths and catapulting beats, thanks to the DJ, and fills the track with giddy electronic drops. Swift initially penned the tune with Zoë Kravitz and manufacturers Sounwave, Jahaan Sweet, and Sam Dew. Braxton Cook offered extra production. “Lavender Haze” is the opening track from Swift’s tenth studio album, kicking the record off with a yearning to stay best where she is.
“I happened upon the phrase “lavender haze” when I was viewing Mad Men, and I looked it up, due to the fact that I believed it sounded cool, and it ends up that it’s a typical expression utilized in the 50s where they would simply explain remaining in love,” Swift shared on Instagram. “Like, if you were in a lavender haze, that meant that you were in that all-encompassing love glow, and I thought that was really beautiful. And I guess theoretically when you’re in the lavender haze, you’ll do anything to stay there, and not let people bring you down off of that cloud.”
She included: “I think a lot of people have to deal with this now, not just quote-unquote “public figures,” due to the fact that we reside in the age of social networks and if the world learns that you’re in love with someone, they’re going to weigh in on it. Like my relationship, for 6 years we’ve needed to evade unusual reports, tabloid things, and we simply neglect it, therefore this tune has to do with the act of neglecting that things to safeguard the genuine things. I hope you people like it.”
Swift just recently revealed the dreamy video for “Lavender Haze,” which included Laith Ashley as her love interest. The self-directed visual transportations the vocalist from a haze-filled space to a cosmic fish tank as she moves through the honeymoon stage she thought up in her lyrics.
