Mark Harper, the Transport Secretary, said today he thought it was “rather sensible” for Rishi Sunak to take his time to think about the findings of the report into claims made versus Dominic Raab.
Mr Harper said the report put together by Adam Tolley KC is a “really comprehensive piece of work”.
Asked if he understood the length of time the report is, Mr Harper informed Times Radio: “No, I don’t. I haven’t check out the report myself however I do understand that the query that Adam Tolley performed took 5 months.
“So it appears to me that it is an extremely comprehensive piece of work and it appears to me rather sensible that the Prime Minister would wish to check out the report completely himself, go through all of the information, prior to he reaches a conclusion.
“I believe it is just by doing so that he would really have actually been reasonable both to Dominic Raab however likewise notably to individuals that made severe grievances.
“I believe for that reason it is sensible that he makes the effort to do that prior to reaching a conclusion.”
