The bitcoin price rally has pushed the wider crypto market back above $1 trillion, with these smaller cryptocurrencies leaving bitcoin in the dust.
Now, Anthony Scaramucci, the chief executive of SkyBridge Capital and short-lived White House communications director under U.S. president Donald Trump, has issued a bullish bitcoin price prediction—forecasting 2023 will be bitcoin’s “recovery year.”

“You are taking on risk but you’re also believing in [bitcoin] adoption,” Scaramucci told CNBC during a crypto conference in St. Moritz, Switzerland. “So if we get the adoption right, and I believe we will, this could easily be a $50,000 to $100,000 asset over the next two to three years.”
Last year, Scaramucci predicted the bitcoin price could hit $300,000 in just six years and revealed the ethereum challenger he has “a very large position” in.
Elsewhere, Cathie Wood, the chief executive of “disruption” investor Ark Invest, has said she has “never seen markets this dislocated,” in an open letter. “Fear of the future is palpable, but crisis can create opportunities,” Wood said, adding bitcoin and ethereum have not “skipped a beat” despite last year’s price crash.
“Disruption can surface in surprising forms and at unexpected times,” Wood wrote. “Innovation solves problems and has historically gained share during turbulent times.”

The bitcoin price has rocketed into 2023, with some predicting the price “recovery” has just begun.

Bitcoin and crypto market watchers have credited last week’s cooling inflation data and strong job numbers as being the catalyst for the latest 2023 bitcoin price rally.
“Over the past week, bitcoin has been climbing steadily with ethereum and many other larger cap altcoins following,” Bradley Duke, co-chief executive at crypto exchange-traded product provider ETC Group, said in emailed comments, pointing to “positive economic data in the U.S., including lower inflation stats and strong job growth numbers” as the “main driver” of the rally.
