Who is taking part in?

A complete of 20 groups certified for the Rugby World Cup. These groups had been cut up into 4 swimming pools of 5, with every pool getting one crew from 5 ‘bands’.

Band one featured the 4 highest-ranked groups from when the draw for the event was made again in 2019 (South Africa, New Zealand, England, Wales). Band two comprised the subsequent 4 highest-ranked groups (Ireland, Australia, France, Japan) and band three the 4 after that (Scotland, Argentina, Fiji, Italy).

Each aspect within the first three bands certified robotically for the event owing to their world rating, whereas the additional two bands comprised the perimeters who had made it into the event by way of qualifying (Samoa, Georgia, Uruguay, Tonga, Namibia, Romania, Chile, Portugal).
