Officials stated that it’s simpler for non-profits to generate funding due to Crowdfunding Alberta. Additionally, the federal government’s fund-matching dedication, which may be accessed year-round, creates a larger influence.
Jennifer Martin, CEO of Little Warriors, stated, “Generous donations fund our programs that help kids overcome the devastating effects of child sexual abuse and support children to move on to lead vibrant accomplished lives.”
She continued, “Through our partnership with the Government of Alberta using the crowdfunding platform, they matched donations to help even more children, teens and families overcome their trauma. Everyone who donates is a difference maker making a huge impact.”
Since 2021, there have been 180 campaigns run on Crowdfunding Alberta.
According to officers, Alberta has the best donation tax credit score of any province or territory in Canada. Albertans are eligible for a 60 per cent tax credit score on the primary $200 donated to a charity registered with the Canada Revenue Agency.
