Now, more than ever, we are committed to strengthening Alberta’s talent pipeline to meet workforce demands,” provides Rajan Sawhney, Minister of Advanced Education.
The provincial authorities says this scholarship will help girls pursuing careers in STEM, serving to them achieve invaluable abilities for at the moment’s economic system and getting ready them for higher-paying jobs sooner or later. The scholarship whole of $125,000 goals to grant every profitable applicant $2,500 to help their research.
“The Alberta Women’s in Science Network (AWSN) proudly endorses the Women in STEM Scholarship initiative. This scholarship, launched during Women in STEM Week, promotes skill development and gender equality in STEM, advancing a more inclusive and prosperous STEM community in Alberta,” says Ela Dudek, president, Alberta Women’s Science Network.
“When women can reach their full potential, it helps Alberta thrive. That’s why empowering women in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields is a priority for Alberta’s government. They, in turn, bring their skills and creativity to our thriving provincial economy,” shares Matt Jones, Minister of Jobs, Economy and Trade.
