BURNABY — The National Basketball Players Association and its members on the Toronto Raptors are donating $10,000 to fund hanging help staff at Simon Fraser University.
NBPA vice-president and Raptors guard Garrett Temple mentioned in an announcement that the donation to the Simon Fraser’s Teaching Support Staff Union’s strike fund is to assist staff in “their fight of a fair contract.”
The NBPA’s assertion got here hours earlier than the Raptors held an open apply at SFU’s Burnaby campus Friday night as a part of the crew’s Vancouver-area coaching camp in preparation for the upcoming NBA season.
TSSU began its strike motion one week in the past.
