The RCMP stated its members discovered the car rushing southbound on Highway 43 and tried to cease it, however the suspects allegedly evaded police.
A spike belt was deployed, however the driver was reportedly in a position to get round it.
The car was discovered deserted a brief distance away.
“There was no damage to the truck and driving evidence along the roadway further indicated that the vehicle had been operated in a manner which placed the general public at great risk,” stated the Elk Valley RCMP.
An RCMP officer was in a position to make contact with the youths and was in a position to persuade them to give up themselves.
Due to “further information received,” the suspects had been taken into custody and awaited guardians to deliver them home from the Sparwood space.
