American playwright and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin has been dropped by his expertise company over Israel-Hamas posts shared by his agent.
Maha Dakhil reposted an announcement from an account referred to as Free Palestine saying “You’re currently learning who supports genocide” in response to the Israe-Gaza battle.
Ms Dakhil added in her caption: “That’s the line for me.”
She then posted a second photograph captioned: “What’s more heartbreaking than witnessing genocide? Witnessing the denial that genocide is happening.”
The posts had been later deleted.
Mr Sorkin, the author behind The Social Network and The West Wing, will return to William Morris Endeavor (WME), which represented him till his transfer to the Creative Artists Agency in 2017.
Mr Sorkin mentioned in an announcement: “Maha isn’t an antisemite, she’s just wrong. She’s a great agent and I’m very proud of the work we did together over the last six years. I’m excited to be returning to WME.”
Ms Dakhil mentioned she “made a mistake” in sharing the posts and that she is “sorry for the pain I have caused”.
