Speaking to iFollow Stags, he stated: “I’m delighted to get the three points first and foremost.
“I think in the first-half we were a little bit sloppy, which wasn’t like us from recent weeks. We conceded two soft goals, which we can eradicate, and we addressed them at half-time.
“We came out in the second-half and started doing what we have been doing in recent games, which led us to the three points.
“We came out on the front foot, got the goal and went again. We could have had a couple more but it was more like us.”
Assessing Stags’ undefeated begin, he stated: “We may have had a couple of extra wins, however we’re unbeaten and we’ve got to maintain the unbeaten run going.
“On the entire outcomes have been good. When we’re fluid and enjoying our soccer not many groups can stay with us.
“The way we play football and attack teams [is encouraging]. As I say, once we get fluid and move the ball crisp and sharp and move the ball forward when we can, not many teams can live with us. It’s nice to come into a team that plays football like that.”
On his private begin to the season, he added: “I’m delighted to be at Mansfield Town playing. I didn’t do a pre-season so I’m not unfit but I’m still getting up to match sharpness.”
The summer season signing made his 500th profession look immediately and stated: “If you had said to me I’d be playing 500 games when I first started playing professional I’d have snapped your hand off. I’m grateful for all the games I’ve played but I don’t want to stop there. I want to carry on.”
