OTTAWA — The federal government honoured the crowning of King Charles III, Canada’s brand-new president, with an event of its own in the country’s capital today.
Elected authorities and dignitaries participated in the event in Ottawa with speeches, musical efficiencies and unique unveilings.
Leaders of federal celebrations, consisting of the NDP’s Jagmeet Singh and the Conservative’s Pierre Poilievre, were missing from the occasion.
Speaking to guests, Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc says countless Canadians are experiencing the crowning of Canada’s sovereign for the very first time in a nation that is drastically various from the one that saw the last crowning.
