BROOKS, AB – Sealed in a wall in Brooks City Hall lays a time capsule that hasn’t seen the sunshine of day for 25 years. However, on Saturday that capsule will likely be opened.
“It’s kind of like Christmas. You have a certain anticipation, you don’t know exactly what you’re going to get,” says Mayor of Brooks, John Petrie.
On October 14th, 1998, Brooks residents contributed objects of significance to the time capsule, to commemorate the newly renovated city workplace. On Saturday the City of Brooks invitations the general public to assemble at metropolis corridor to witness the disclosing.
Mayor Petrie deems 25 years as the proper period for the buried capsule, permitting its contributors to see its reopening. Despite this, nobody appears to recollect or know what was put inside.
